The Covid 19 pandemic has limited the access to the communities from fear of contagion. This situation does not allow us to carry out the training sessions and the home visits of our program. We are developing new strategies to reach the families and advance in our mission of preventing chronic malnutrition.

The agricultural and laying hens activities have not stopped because of their direct contribution to the food supply of the families

Small plants for sowing have been provided to the families in San José Poaquil, so they can grow their nursery gardens.

In Santa María Cahabón, the laying hens are being vaccinated to prevent  illnesses and keep the egg provision of the families who rely on that source of protein. It has been proven that the consumption of one egg a day keeps children, over one year, from suffering chronic malnutrition.
